Impossible?

Lately God has been teaching me so much about his power. So many times I see problems and I want to fix them. I'll talk with friends and they'll share about their lives. Many times I think circumstances wont change...that some things just wont work out. I sit there trying to think of solutions and realize there are none and become discouraged. But is it truly impossible? Psalm 118:8 says, “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.” It is impossible if I am trying to figure it out...but not for God. In Philippians 4:13 we see that all things are possible through Christ.

Monday night was a beautiful evening. The sky was so blue and the temperature was just perfect. I was feeling discouraged and needed some time with God. I took my Bible outside and just started reading through the Psalms. Then I prayed for a while...just talking to God about how I felt. I was so humbled by what God showed me. I was enjoying just PART of God's beautiful creation. He made the blue sky, green grass, and the sun that was setting...and so SO much more. If he is so powerful to create and control so much...surely he is powerful enough to work out the things in my life, or my friend's lives, or anyone's life.

The little song that my mom used to sing to us kids came to mind. “He's got the whole world in His hands”. I'm so grateful that He's got the world in his hands, I don't have to worry about a thing!

Psalm 9:10, And they that know they name will put their trust in thee: for though, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
