The Swint Family

I'm not quite sure where to begin with this post....except to say how grateful I am for Mrs. Dede. She has taken our family pictures for years, let me tag a long on shoots, shared her experience, but most importantly shared Christ's love with so many people (including myself). Mrs. Swint is pretty much known as the family photographer for our church. She has served so many people by taking their photos. She is probably one of the most giving people I know, and I have always respected her so much for that.

Mrs. Dede is the one who has pushed my love for photography to a higher level. When I first bought my Nikon D40, she was right there, helping me out and giving me tips. She started asking me if I wanted to go a long on some shoots with her. I learned so much from watching her.

I think one of the best things she has helped me with is pushing me out there. I love being in my comfort zone, and she pushed me out of it. She would tell me to take over on some shoots. I remember when I went to the beach to help shoot Keith and Leah , she said, "Ok you take the first half of the time, I'll take the second half". That scared me to death! This happened more than once...and while I hated it, I didn't realize how much it helped me. Until I started doing shoots on my own. Then I realized how grateful I was for her pushing me out of my comfort zone.

Probably one of the biggest impacts she has made on my life would be the way she always points me to Christ. Trusting God to work through me with a shoot. I get so nervous before my shoots...I want to make people feel comfortable while I'm taking their pictures. She helped me learn that I am totally dependent on Him. He gives me just the right words to say =]

So thank you Mrs. Swint, for you huge impact that you have had on my life...and many others too =]

Oh, and thanks for letting me take your family photos too!
